Adonoy spoke to Moshe and to Aharon, saying;

And the Lord spoke to Moshe and to Aharon, saying,

And the L-rd spoke to Moses and to Aaron, saying:

Take the count of the sons of Kehos from among the sons of Levi according to their families according to the house of their fathers.

Take the sum of the sons of Qehat from among the sons of Levi, after their families, by the house of their fathers,

Take the count of the sons of Kehath [of those fit for carrying (i.e., from the age of thirty to fifty)], from the midst of the sons of Levi, by their families, by their fathers' house.

From thirty years and above until fifty years, all who enter into the division to perform service in the Tent of Meeting.

from thirty years old and upward until fifty years old, all that enter into the host, to do the work in the Tent of Meeting.

From thirty years and up until fifty years, all who enter into service, to do work in the tent of meeting.

This is the service of the sons of Kehos in the Tent of Meeting, the Holy of Holies.

This shall be the service of the sons of Qehat in the Tent of Meeting, namely, the most holy things:

This is the service of the sons of Kehath in the tent of meeting, holy of holies, [i.e., the holiest of all: the ark, the table, the menorah, the altars, the parocheth, and the ministering vessels.]

Aharon and his sons shall enter when the camp is about to travel, and take down the screening curtain and, with it they shall cover the Ark of the Testimony.

and when the camp sets forward, Aharon shall come, and his sons, and they shall take down the veil of the screen, and cover the ark of testimony with it:

And Aaron and his sons shall come, when the camp is to travel [(being apprised of this by the departure of the cloud)], and they shall take down the parocheth partition and cover therewith the ark of the Testimony. [They placed each article in its designated sheath and the sons of Kehath needed only to carry it.]

They shall place upon it a covering of tachash -hide and spread an entirely blue woolen cloth on top of it, and put its [carrying] poles [in place].

and they shall put on it the covering of taĥash skins, and shall spread over it a cloth wholly of blue, and shall put in its poles.

And they shall put thereon a covering of tachash skin, and they shall spread a cloth all of blue over it, and they shall place its staves.

On the Show Table they shall spread a blue woolen cloth and they shall place upon it the molds, spoons, rods and the covering props, and the continual bread shall be upon it.

And upon the table of showbread they shall spread a cloth of blue, and put on it the dishes, and the spoons, and the bowls, and the jars for pouring out: and the continual bread shall be on it:

And on the show (-bread) table shall they spread a cloth of blue, and they shall place thereon the [bread-] molds, the censers, the staves, and the canes for covering [see Exodus 25:29]; and the continual bread shall be thereon.

They shall spread upon them a cloth of crimson thread and they shall cover it with a covering of tachash -hide and put its [carrying] poles [in place].

and they shall spread upon them a cloth of scarlet, and cover the same with a covering of taĥash skins, and shall put in its poles.

And they shall spread thereon a cloth of scarlet and cover it with a tachash skin covering, and they shall place its staves.

They shall take a blue woolen cloth and they shall cover the Menorah that illuminates and its lamps, its tongs and its scoops and all of its oil vessels; those with which you use to perform its service.

And they shall take a cloth of blue, and cover the candlestick of the light, and its lamps, and its tongs, and its pans, and all its oil vessels, with which they minister to it:

And they shall take a blue cloth and cover the menorah of lighting and its lamps, and its tongs, and its snuff-dishes [see Exodus 25:32] and all its oil vessels wherewith they minister unto it.

They shall put it and all of its utensils into the covering of the tachash-hide and put it on the carrying frame.

and they shall put it and all its vessels within a covering of taĥash skins, and shall put it upon a bar.

And they shall place it and all of its vessels into a covering of tachash skin [a kind of sack] and put it on a bar.

On top of the golden Altar they shall spread a blue woolen cloth and they shall cover it with a covering of tachash-hide, and put its [carrying] poles in place.

And upon the golden altar they shall spread a cloth of blue, and cover it with a covering of taĥash skins, and shall put in its poles.

And on the golden altar they shall spread a blue cloth and cover it with a tachash skin covering, and they shall place its staves.

They shall take all the service utensils with which they serve in the Sanctuary and they shall put them inside a blue woolen cloth, and they shall cover them with a covering of tachash-hide, and put it on the carrying frame.

And they shall take all the instruments of ministry, with which they minister in the sanctuary, and put them in a cloth of blue, and cover them with a covering of taĥash skins, and shall put them on a bar:

And they shall take all the ministering vessels with which they minister in the sanctuary [i.e., the incense vessels with which they minister on the inner altar] and put them in a blue cloth and cover them with a tachash skin covering and put them on a bar.

They shall remove the ashes from [atop] the Altar and they shall spread upon it a cloth of purple [wool].

and they shall take away the ashes from the altar, and spread a purple cloth on it:

And they shall remove the ashes from the [copper] altar, and spread upon it a purple cloth.

They shall put upon it all of its utensils which they use in service, those that are used on the Altar-top; the firepans, forks, scoops and sprinklers, all the utensils of the Altar. They shall spread upon it a covering of tachash-hide, and put its [carrying] poles in place.

and they shall put upon it all its vessels with which they minister about it, the pans, the forks, and the shovels, and the basins, all the vessels of the altar; and they shall spread upon it a covering of taĥash skins, and put in its poles.

And they shall place on it all of its implements wherewith they minister upon it: its fire-pans, its spits, its shovels, and its sprinkling basins [see Exodus 27:3] — all the vessels of the altar; and they shall spread upon it a tachash skin covering, and they shall place its staves.

Aharon and his sons shall complete the covering of the Sanctuary and all of the holy utensils whenever the camp is about to travel, and after that, the sons of Kehos shall come to carry [these items], and they shall not touch the Holy [objects] and they will [not] die. These are what the sons of Kehos must carry for the Tent of Meeting.

And when Aharon and his sons have made an end of covering the sanctuary, and all the vessels of the sanctuary, as the camp is to set forward; after that, the sons of Qehat shall come to bear it: but they shall not touch any holy thing, lest they die. These things are the burden of the sons of Qehat in the Tent of Meeting.

And Aaron and his sons shall finish covering the holy (things) [the ark and the altar] and all the holy vessels when the camp is to travel, and then the sons of Kehath shall come to carry (them), and they shall not touch the holy (things) lest they die [(at the hands of Heaven)]. These (things) are the burden of the sons of Kehath in the tent of meeting.

Encharged to Elazar, the son of Aharon the kohein, is the oil for illumination, the incense of spices the continual [daily] meal-offering and the anointing oil; the charge of the entire Mishkon and all of its contents in the Sanctuary, and its utensils.

And to the office of El῾azar the son of Aharon the priest pertains the oil for the light, and the sweet incense, and the daily meal offering, and the anointing oil, and the oversight of all the tabernacle, and of all that is in it, as to the sanctuary, and as to its vessels.

And the charge of Elazar the son of Aaron the Cohein was [the carrying of] the oil for lighting, and the spice incense, and the continual meal-offering [(He was charged with commanding and expediting its offering upon encampment)], and the anointing oil. [And, in addition, he was appointed over the burden of the sons of Kehath, to assign to each his service and his burden, viz.] the charge of all the mishkan and all that was in it, the holy (things) and all of its vessels [(as set forth above)].

Adonoy spoke to Moshe and to Aharon, saying:

And the Lord spoke to Moshe and to Aharon, saying,

And the L-rd spoke to Moses and to Aaron, saying:

Do not cut off the tribe of the families of the Kehosites, from among the Levites.

Do not cut off the tribe of the families of the Qehati from among the Levites:

Do not cut off the tribe of the families of the Kehathi from the midst of the Levites [i.e., take care not to bring about their death].

This is what you must do for them, that they may live and not die when they approach the Holy of Holies; Aharon and his sons shall [first] come and appoint them each man individually, to [perform] his own service, and to carry his own load.

but thus do to them, that they may live, and not die, when they approach the most holy things: Aharon and his sons shall go in, and appoint them every one to his service and to his burden:

But do this for them and they will live and not die when they approach the holy of holies: Aaron and his sons shall come and set them, each man to his service and to his burden.

They shall not come in to see when the holy is being covered and [they will not] die.

but they shall not go in to see when the holy things are covered, lest they die.

And they shall not come to see when the holy (things) are being covered [within their sheath (5)] and die.

And Adonoy spoke to Moshe, saying;

And the Lord spoke to Moshe, saying,

And the L-rd spoke to Moses, saying:

Take the count of the sons of Gershon as well, according to the house of their fathers according to their families.

Take also the sum of the sons of Gershon, by the houses of their fathers, by their families;

Take the count of the sons of Gershon, they too, [as I commanded you in respect to the sons of Kehath, to see how many of them qualify for service], by their fathers' houses, by their families.

From thirty years and above, until fifty years, you shall count them; all those who enter the division to serve in the Tent of Meeting.

from thirty years old and upward until fifty years old shalt thou number them; all that enter in to perform the service, to do the work in the Tent of Meeting.

From thirty years and up until fifty years, all who enter into service, to serve in the tent of meeting.

This is the service of the families of the Gershonites to serve, and to carry.

This is the service of the families of the Gershoni, both for serving and for carrying:

This is the service of the families of the Gershuni for service and for burden.

They shall carry the tapestries of the Mishkon and [of] the Tent of Meeting, its covering and the covering of tachash which is on top of it, and the screen for the entrance to the Tent of Meeting,

and they shall bear the curtains of the tabernacle, and the Tent of Meeting, its covering, and the covering of the taĥash skins that is above upon it, and the screen for the door of the Tent of Meeting,

They shall bear the curtains of the mishkan [the ten lower ones] and of the tent of meeting [the goats' hair curtains which tented it], its covering [the rams' skins dyed red] and the tachash covering that is on it from above, and the partition for the door of the tent of meeting [i.e., the eastern curtain].

the hanging [tapestries] of the courtyard, the screen for the entrance to the gate of the courtyard which are over the Mishkon and altar on all sides, their ropes and all of their service utensils and all that will be given to them, and thus shall they serve.

and the hangings of the court, and the screen for the door of the gate of the court, which is by the tabernacle and by the altar round about, and their cords, and all the instruments of their service, and all that is made for them: so shall they serve.

And the curtains of the court, and the partition for the door of the gate of the court which shield the mishkan and the [copper] altar roundabout, and their cords, and all their service implements, and all that is relegated to them [the sons of Gershon] that they may serve.

By instruction of Aharon and [one of] his sons shall be all the services of the sons of the Gershonites for all that they carry and for all their service. You shall fix specified appointments for them for everything they carry.

By the order of Aharon and his sons shall be all the service of the sons of the Gershoni, in all their burdens, and in all their service: and you shall appoint to them in charge all their burden.

By word of Aaron and his sons shall be all the service of the sons of the Gershuni for all of their burdens and for all of their service. And you shall designate unto them the charge of all their burdens.

This is the service of the families of the sons of the Gershonites in the Tent of Meeting. Their guardianship is in the hands of Isamar, the son of Aharon the kohein.

This is the service of the families of the sons of Gershon in the Tent of Meeting: and their charge shall be under the hand of Itamar the son of Aharon the priest.

This is the service of the families of the sons of the Gershuni in the tent of meeting. And their charge shall be by the hand of Ithamar the son of Aaron the Cohein.

The sons of Merori, according to their families and according to the house of their fathers you shall count them.

As for the sons of Merari, thou shalt number them after their families, by the house of their fathers;

The sons of Merari — by their families, by their fathers' house shall you number them.

From thirty years and above until fifty years, you shall count them; all who enter the division to serve in the Tent of Meeting.

from thirty years old and upward to fifty years old shalt thou number them, everyone that enters into the service, to do the work of the Tent of Meeting.

From thirty years and up until fifty years shall you number them, all who enter into service, to perform the service of the tent of meeting.

This is what they are entrusted to carry according to all their duties in the Tent of Meeting; the beams of the Mishkon, its bars, pillars and sockets.

And this is the charge of their burden, according to all their service in the Tent of Meeting; the boards of the tabernacle, and its bars, and its pillars, and its sockets,

And this is the charge of their burden for all of their service in the tent of meeting: the beams of the mishkan and its bars, and its pillars and its sockets.

The pillars around the courtyard, their sockets, stakes and ropes; with all their utensils and for all their service; and by name shall you appoint the utensils to the charge of those who will carry them.

and the pillars of the court round about, and their sockets, and their pegs, and their cords, with all their instruments, and with all their service: and by name you shall reckon the instruments of the charge of their burden.

And the pillars of the court roundabout, and their [the pillars'] pins and cords [for hanging of the curtains on the pillars], with all of their implements for all of their service. And by name shall you reckon the implements of the charge of their bearing.

This is the service of the families of the sons of Merori for all their service in the Tent of Meeting, under the direction of Isamar, the son of Aharon, the kohein.

This is the service of the families of the sons of Merari, according to all their service, in the Tent of Meeting, under the hand of Itamar the son of Aharon the priest.

This is the service of the families of the sons of Merari for all of their service in the tent of meeting by the hand of Ithamar the son of Aaron the Cohein.

They counted—Moshe, Aharon and the leaders of the congregation—the sons of the Kehosites according to their families and according to the house of their fathers.

And Moshe and Aharon and the chiefs of the congregation numbered the sons of the Qehati after their families, and after the house of their fathers,

And Moses and Aaron and the chiefs of the congregation numbered the sons of the Kehathi by their families and by their fathers' house.

Those, from thirty years and above, until fifty years; all those who enter the division to serve in the Tent of Meeting.

from thirty years old and upward to fifty years old, everyone that enters into the service, for work in the Tent of Meeting:

From thirty years and up until fifty years, all who entered the service for service in the tent of meeting.

Their numbers, according to their families were two thousand seven hundred and fifty.

and those that were numbered of them by their families were two thousand seven hundred and fifty.

And their numbered ones by their families were two thousand and seven hundred and fifty.

These are the numbers of the families of the Kehosites of all who serve in the Tent of Meeting whom Moshe and Aharon counted according to the word of Adonoy, through Moshe.

These were they that were numbered of the families of the Qehati, all that might do service in the Tent of Meeting, whom Moshe and Aharon did number according to the commandment of the Lord by the hand of Moshe.

These are the numbered of the families of the Kehathi, all who serve in the tent of meeting, whom Moses and Aaron numbered by word of the L-rd by the hand of Moses.

The numbers of the sons of Gershon, according to their families and according to the house of their fathers.

And those that were numbered of the sons of Gershon, throughout their families, and by the house of their fathers,

And the numbered ones of the sons of Gershon by their families and by their fathers' house,

Those, from thirty years and above, until fifty years; all who enter the division to serve in the Tent of Meeting.

from thirty years old and upward to fifty years old, everyone that enters into the service, for work in the Tent of Meeting,

Their numbers, according to their families, according to the house of their fathers were two thousand six hundred and thirty.

even those that were numbered of them, by their families, by the house of their fathers, were two thousand, six hundred and thirty.

Their numbered ones by their families by their fathers' house were two thousand and six hundred and thirty.

These are the numbers of the families of the sons of the Gershonites, of all those who serve in the Tent of Meeting, whom Moshe and Aharon counted, according to the word of Adonoy.

These are they that were numbered of the families of the sons of Gershon, of all that might do service in the Tent of Meeting, whom Moshe and Aharon did number according to the commandment of the Lord.

These are the numbered of the families of the sons of Gershon, all who serve in the tent of meeting, whom Moses and Aaron numbered by word of the L-rd.

The numbers of the families of the sons of the Merorites according to their families, according to the house of their fathers.

And those that were numbered of the families of the sons of Merari, by their families, by the house of their fathers,

And the numbered of the families of the sons of Merari, by their families by their fathers' house,

Those, from thirty years and above, until fifty years; all who enter the division to serve in the Tent of Meeting.

from thirty years old and upward to fifty years old, everyone that enters into the service, for work in the Tent of Meeting,

From thirty years and up until fifty years, all who entered the service, for service in the tent of meeting.

Their numbers were, according to their families, three thousand two hundred.

even those that were numbered of them after their families, were three thousand, two hundred.

Their numbered ones by their families were three thousand and two hundred.

These are the numbers of the families of the sons of the Merorites whom Moshe and Aharon counted according to the word of Adonoy, through Moshe.

These are they that were numbered of the families of the sons of Merari, whom Moshe and Aharon numbered according to the word of the Lord by the hand of Moshe.

These are the numbered of the families of the sons of Merari, whom Moses and Aaron numbered by word of the L-rd by the hand of Moses.

The total of the numbers counted by Moshe, Aharon and the leaders of the congregation [of] the Levites according to their families, according to the house of their fathers.

All those that were numbered of the Levites, whom Moshe and Aharon and the chiefs of Yisra᾽el numbered, after their families, and after the house of their fathers,

All the numbered ones, whom Moses and Aaron and all the chiefs of Israel numbered of the Levites by their families and by their fathers' house.

Those from thirty years and above, until fifty years; all who enter to serve the service of service and the service of carrying in the Tent of Meeting.

from thirty years old and upward to fifty years old, everyone that came to do the service of the ministry, and the service of carrying in the Tent of Meeting.

From thirty years and up until fifty years, all who entered to serve — the service [of song, with cymbals and lutes,] of [i.e., on behalf of] service [the sacrificial service] and the service of bearing in the tent of meeting.

Their numbers were eight thousand five hundred and eighty.

Those that were numbered of them, were eight thousand, five hundred and eighty.

Their numbered ones were eight thousand and five hundred and eighty.

According to the word of Adonoy he counted them, by the hand of Moshe, each man according to his service and according to what he carries; and they were counted, as Adonoy commanded Moshe.

According to the commandment of the Lord they were numbered by the hand of Moshe, everyone according to his service, and according to his burden: thus were they numbered, as the Lord commanded Moshe.

By word of the L-rd did he count them, by the hand of Moses, each for his service and for his burden. And their numbered ones were as the L-rd had commanded Moses [i.e., from thirty years and up until fifty].
