הַ֥לְלוּ־יָ֨הּ**׀** הַ֭לְלוּ עַבְדֵ֣י יְהֹוָ֑ה הַֽ֝לְל֗וּ אֶת־שֵׁ֥ם יְהֹוָֽה׃
Haleluya! Give praise, O servants of the Lord, praise the name of the Lord.
Hallelukah! Praise, you servants of the L rd; praise the name of the L rd.
יְהִ֤י שֵׁ֣ם יְהֹוָ֣ה מְבֹרָ֑ךְ מֵ֝עַתָּ֗ה וְעַד־עוֹלָֽם׃
Blessed be the name of the Lord from this time forth and for evermore.
Let the name of the L rd be blessed from now and evermore.
מִמִּזְרַח־שֶׁ֥מֶשׁ עַד־מְבוֹא֑וֹ מְ֝הֻלָּ֗ל שֵׁ֣ם יְהֹוָֽה׃
From the rising of the sun to its setting, the Lord’s name is to be praised.
From the rising of the sun until its setting, the name of the L rd is praised.
רָ֖ם עַל־כׇּל־גּוֹיִ֥ם׀יְהֹוָ֑ה עַ֖ל הַשָּׁמַ֣יִם כְּבוֹדֽוֹ׃
The Lord is high above all nations, and his glory is above the heavens.
Exalted above all nations is the L rd. Above the heavens is His glory.
מִ֭י כַּיהֹוָ֣ה אֱלֹהֵ֑ינוּ הַֽמַּגְבִּיהִ֥י לָשָֽׁבֶת׃
Who is like the Lord our God, who is enthroned on high,
Who is like the L rd our G d — who dwells on high,
הַֽמַּשְׁפִּילִ֥י לִרְא֑וֹת בַּשָּׁמַ֥יִם וּבָאָֽרֶץ׃
and yet looks far down to behold the things that are in heaven, and on the earth!
who lowers [Himself] to see — in the heavens and on the earth?
מְקִ֥ימִ֣י מֵעָפָ֣ר דָּ֑ל מֵ֝אַשְׁפֹּ֗ת יָרִ֥ים אֶבְיֽוֹן׃
He raises up the poor out of the dust, and lifts the needy out of the ashheap;
He raises the pauper from the dust; He lifts up the poor one from the dung heap.
לְהוֹשִׁיבִ֥י עִם־נְדִיבִ֑ים עִ֝֗ם נְדִיבֵ֥י עַמּֽוֹ׃
that he may set him with nobles, with the nobles of his people.
To seat them with the dignitaries; with the dignitaries of His people.
מֽוֹשִׁיבִ֨י**׀** עֲקֶ֬רֶת הַבַּ֗יִת אֵֽם־הַבָּנִ֥ים שְׂמֵחָ֗ה הַֽלְלוּ־יָֽהּ׃{פ}
He makes the barren woman to keep house, and be a joyful mother of children. Haleluya!
He seats the barren one of the house [(Zion, who is bereft of her children)], a happy mother of sons, Hallelukah! [viz. Isaiah 66:8]
