100. “A man of appearance, this is as it says etc.” “A man of appearance” (II Samuel 23:21), this is as it says: “Through appearances, not riddles” (Numbers 12:8). “A man,” as it says: “The man of God” (Deuteronomy 33:1), the husband, as it were, of that appearance of the glory of God, which is Malkhut, as he merited to guide this level on earth in all that he wished, which no other man has merited.

Explanation: The difference between Moses and all the other prophets is that Moses was a chariot for Ze’er Anpin. He would construct and bestow from Ze’er Anpin to the Nukba, whereas all the other prophets were a chariot for the Nukba and received their shefa from the Nukba. This is why it states: “The man of God, the husband, as it were, of that appearance,” which is the Nukba, called “the glory of God.” Why is he considered the husband of the Divine Presence? It is because “he merited to guide this level,” as [Moses] was a chariot for Ze’er Anpin, and he would construct, bestow [upon] and guide this level, which is the Nukba. “Which no other man has merited,” as all the other prophets were a chariot for the Nukba, and the Nukba bestowed upon them. They are therefore located below her, and are guided by her, and thus no other person in the world merited the attribute of Moses.
