Similarly, after proceeding 151 cubits along the wall on the southern side,¹ the prophet saw a gateway, as it is written:² 40:24-26. “[God]³ may be trying to emphasize that it was God, and not the angel, Who led Yechezkel through the vision of the Third Beis HaMikdash. took me towards the south. Behold, there was the Southern Gate. He⁴ measured its pillars and its vestibules, and they were the same as these measures.⁵ It had windows and vestibules around it like these windows. Its height⁶ see sec. 3 above. was 50 cubits. The width [from the edge of the roof of the cell to the edge of the roof of the second cell] was 25 cubits. Its stairway had seven steps. Its vestibule was further inside than them. It had palm-like coronets, one on one side and one on the other, on its pillars.”
