There is none like You among the heavenly powers, LORD, and there are no works like Yours. Your kingdom is an eternal kingdom, and Your dominion is for all generations. The LORD is King, the LORD was King, the LORD shall be King for ever and all time. The LORD will give strength to His people; the LORD will bless His people with peace. Father of compassion, favor Zion with Your goodness; rebuild the walls of Jerusalem. For we trust in You alone, King, God, high and exalted, Master of worlds.
Whenever the Ark set out, Moses would say, “Arise, LORD, and may Your enemies be scattered. May those who hate You flee before You.” For the Torah shall come forth from Zion, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem. Blessed is He who, in His holiness, gave the Torah to His people Israel.
The LORD, the LORD, compassionate and gracious God, slow to anger, abounding in loving-kindness and truth, extending loving-kindness to a thousand generations, forgiving iniquity, rebellion and sin, and absolving [the guilty who repent].

Master of the Universe, fulfill my requests for good. Satisfy my desire, grant my request, and pardon me for all my iniquities and all iniquities of the members of my household, with the pardon of loving-kindness and compassion. Purify us from our sins, our iniquities and our transgressions; remember us with a memory of favorable deeds before You and be mindful of us in salvation and compassion. Remember us for a good life, for peace, for livelihood and sustenance, for bread to eat and clothes to wear, for wealth, honor and length of days dedicated to Your Torah and its commandments. Grant us discernment and understanding that we may understand and discern its deep secrets. Send healing for all our pain, and bless all the work of our hands. Ordain for us decrees of good, salvation and consolation, and nullify all hard and harsh decrees against us. And may the hearts of the government, its advisers and ministers / In Israel: And may the hearts of our ministers and their advisers, / be favorable toward us. Amen. May this be Your will. May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart find favor before You, LORD, my Rock and Redeemer.

Listen, Israel: the LORD is our God, the LORD is One.
One is our God; great is our Master; holy and awesome is His name.
Magnify the LORD with me, and let us exalt His name together.

Over all may the name of the Supreme King of kings, the Holy One blessed be He, be magnified and sanctified, praised and glorified, exalted and extolled, in the worlds that He has created – this world and the World to Come – in accordance with His will, and the will of those who fear Him, and the will of the whole house of Israel. He is the Rock of worlds, LORD of all creatures, God of all souls, who dwells in the spacious heights and inhabits the high heavens of old. His holiness is over the Ḥayyot and over the throne of glory. Therefore may Your name, LORD our God, be sanctified among us in the sight of all that lives. Let us sing before Him a new song, as it is written: “Sing to God, make music for His name, extol Him who rides the clouds – the LORD is His name – and exult before Him.” And may we see Him eye to eye when He returns to His abode as it is written: “For they shall see eye to eye when the LORD returns to Zion.” And it is said: “Then will the glory of the LORD be revealed, and all mankind together shall see that the mouth of the LORD has spoken.”
Father of mercy, have compassion on the people borne by Him. May He remember the covenant with the mighty (patriarchs), and deliver us from evil times. May He reproach the evil instinct in the people by Him, and graciously grant that we be an eternal remnant. May He fulfill in good measure our requests for salvation and compassion.
May He help, shield and save all who seek refuge in Him, and let us say: Amen. Let us all render greatness to our God and give honor to the Torah. *Let the Kohen come forward. Arise (name son of father’s name), the Kohen.
/As there is no Kohen, arise (name son of father’s name) in place of a Kohen./

The LORD remembered Sarah just as He had said, and just as He had spoken then, so He did for her. So Sarah conceived, and she bore Abraham a son in his old age, at the time that God had mentioned. Abraham named the son who was born to him, the son whom Sarah bore – Isaac. And he circumcised Isaac, his son, when the child was eight days old, just as God had commanded him to do.

Abraham was a hundred years old when his son Isaac was born to him. “God,” said Sarah, “has made laughter for me; all those who hear of this will laugh with me.” She said, “Who would ever have said to Abraham, ‘Sarah will one day nurse children?’ And yet I have borne him a son in his old age.” The baby grew, and he was weaned; Abraham laid out a great feast on the day when Isaac was weaned. And Sarah saw the son of Hagar the Egyptian – the son she had borne Abraham – making sport. She said to Abraham, “Send away that slave and her son, for the slave’s son cannot inherit you alongside Isaac.” This distressed Abraham deeply, because of his son. But God said to him, “Do not think this wrong, because of the boy or because of your slave; listen to Sarah, to whatever she says, for it is Isaac who will keep your name alive;

and I shall build a nation from the maid’s son also, because he too is your descendant.” Early the next morning Abraham rose, and he took bread and a flask of water, and gave them to Hagar; he placed them over her shoulder, and the child also, and he sent her away. Hagar left, and she went astray in the desert of Be’er Sheva. The water in the flask was exhausted, and she threw the boy down beneath one of the bushes. And Hagar went off and sat herself beyond, a bowshot’s distance away, for she said, “Just let me not see it, when the child dies.” She sat down there at a distance beyond, and then she raised up her voice and wept. And God heard the voice of the boy. An angel called out to Hagar from the heavens and said to her, “What is wrong, Hagar? Do not be frightened; for God has heard the boy’s voice, there in the place where he is. Get up; lift up the boy and keep your hand firmly on him, for I am going to build him up into a great nation.” God opened her eyes and she saw a well, and she went and filled the flask with water, and helped the boy to drink. God was with the boy, and he grew, and there in the desert he lived, and became a bowman. He settled in the Paran desert, and his mother brought him a wife from the land of Egypt.

It was at that time that Avimelekh and his chief of staff, Pikhol, said to Abraham, “God is with you in all that you do. Now swear to me by your God, that you will not deceive me or my son or my grandson; treat me and all the land you have lived in with the same kindness I have shown toward you.” Abraham said, “I swear.” And then he reproached Avimelekh for the well of water that Avimelekh’s slaves had stolen. “I do not know who did this,” Avimelekh said, “and you did not tell me before, I have never heard of all this until today!” Abraham took sheep and cattle and gave them to Avimelekh, and the two forged a covenant together.

And Abraham then set the seven sheep from the flock apart. Avimelekh asked him, “What are these seven sheep that you have set apart by themselves?” And he said, “These seven sheep are for you to take from me as witness to the fact that it was I who dug that well.” And so it was that he named the place Be’er Sheva, because it was there that the two of them vowed. They forged their covenant in Be’er Sheva, and then Avimelekh and Pikhol, his chief of staff, stood up and returned to the land of the Philistines. Abraham planted a tamarisk tree at Be’er Sheva, and there he called out the name of the LORD, God of all the world. And Abraham lived on in the land of the Philistines for many years after.

You shall make a burnt-offering of pleasing aroma to the LORD: a young bullock, a ram, and seven yearling male lambs; they shall be without blemish. And their meal-offerings, fine flour mixed with oil, three-tenths of an ephah for the bull, two-tenths of an ephah for the ram, and one-tenth of an ephah for each of the seven lambs, one male goat for atonement. All this aside from the burnt-offering of the New Moon and its meal-offering, and the regular daily burnt-offering with its meal-offering, and their libations according to their ordinance, a burnt-offering of pleasing odor to the LORD.

Once there was a man from Ramatayim Tzofim, from Mount Ephraim, and his name was Elkana son of Yeroḥam son of Elihu son of Toḥu son of Tzuf, a resident of Ephraim. [The man] had two wives; the first was named Hannah and the second, Peninah; and while Peninah had children, Hannah had none. This man would go up from his city, year by year, to worship and to make offerings to the Lord of hosts in Shiloh, where Ḥofni and Pineḥas served as priests to the Lord. The day would come, and Elkanah would make his offering, and give portions of it to Peninah his wife and to all her sons and daughters. And to Hannah he would give the most generous portion, for it was Hannah that he loved, though the Lord had shut off her womb. And her rival would torment her, torment her to fill her with fury – because the Lord had shut off her womb. [Elkanah] did the same thing year after year, whenever [Hannah] went up to the Lord’s House; and so [Peninah] would torment her, until she wept, and would not eat. “Why are you crying, Hannah,” her husband, Elkanah, said, “why will you not eat, and why is your heart so pained? Am I not better to you than ten sons?” Hannah got up after they had eaten at Shiloh, and after they had drunk, and Eli the Priest was seated upon his chair at the doorway of the Lord’s Sanctuary. And she was bitter within, and prayed to the Lord and wept – wept. And she made a vow, saying, “Lord of hosts, if You see Your slave’s agony, and remember me and do not forget Your slave, and if You give Your slave a son – I shall give him to the Lord all the days of his life, and no razor shall ever be lifted to his head.” And as she continued to pray there, for a long time, before the Lord, Eli was watching her mouth. And Hannah, she was speaking in her heart: her lips were moving, her voice could not be heard, and Eli thought her drunk. And Eli said to her, “When will you stop acting the drunkard? Clear yourself of that wine.” And Hannah said, “No, sir; I am a woman whose spirit has grown heavy, I have drunk neither new wine nor old; I have been pouring out my soul before the Lord. Do not look at your slave as if I were the lowest of the low; it is from the great burden of words on my mind and my torment that I spoke all this time.” Then Eli said, “Go peacefully; and may the God of Israel grant you whatever it was you asked of Him.” She said, “May your humble servant but deserve the grace you have shown her,” and the woman went upon her way, and ate, and that expression she had worn, she wore no more. Early the next morning they got up and worshiped the Lord, and they went back, and came to their home at Ramah. And Elkana knew his wife Hannah – and the Lord remembered her. And in the fullness of time, Hannah conceived and gave birth to a son, and she named him Samuel, “because I asked him of the Lord.” The man, Elkanah, and all his household, went up to make sacrifices to the Lord; the regular, yearly sacrifice and the offering he had vowed. But Hannah did not go up, for she said to her husband, “Not until the boy is weaned; then I shall bring him; he will appear before the Lord and he will stay there forever.” “Do as you see fit,” said Elkanah, her husband. “Stay until you have weaned him; and may the Lord but fulfill His own words.” So the woman stayed there and she nursed her son, until she had weaned him. And when she had weaned him she brought him up with her, with three bulls, an ephah of flour and a flask of wine, and took him to the Lord’s house in Shiloh; and the boy was yet young. They slaughtered a bull and brought the boy to Eli. And she said, “Please, sir – sir, as you live, I am that woman who stood here with you and prayed to the Lord. It was for this boy that I prayed, and the Lord gave me what I asked of Him. Now I too give him over, to the Lord, forever: he is given over to the Lord” – and there he worshiped the Lord. And Hannah prayed. She said: My heart glories in the Lord, / my horns raised in pride by the Lord, my mouth wide in scorn for my foes: / for my joy is in Your salvation. There is none so holy as the Lord, for there is none but You, / there is no Rock like our God. Stop speaking high and mighty, on and on, these swollen words that leave your mouths – for the Lord is the God of knowledge, / His acts precisely measured; the bows of strong heroes are broken, while those who once stumbled gird greatness. Those who were once full of bread go to hire, / while the hungry rest; while the childless woman births seven children, the mother of so many sons falls desolate. The Lord kills, and He brings life, He throws us down to hell and He lifts us. The Lord makes destitute, enriches, / debases; He raises – He lifts the poor out of the dust, and raises abject men from the dunghills, to seat them up there with princes, / to bequeath them chairs of honor, for the earth’s precipices are the Lord’s and upon them He balances all the world. He will guard the steps of His followers, while the evil are silenced in darkness, for it is not by strength that men master. The Lord – His opponents are broken, He thunders the skies above them, the Lord will judge to the ends of the earth, will grant His own king strength, He will raise proud the horns of His anointed.

God on high who dwells in might, the King to whom peace belongs, look down from Your holy habitation and bless the soldiers of the American military forces who risk their lives for the sake of peace on earth. Be their shelter and stronghold, and let them not falter. Give them the strength and courage to thwart the plans of the enemy and end the rule of evil. May their enemies be scattered and their foes flee before them, and may they rejoice in Your salvation. Bring them back safely to their homes, as is written: “The LORD will guard you from all harm, He will guard your life. The LORD will guard your going and coming, now and for evermore.” And may there be fulfilled for us the verse: “Nation shall not lift up sword against nation, nor shall they learn war any more.” Let all the inhabitants on earth know that sovereignty is Yours and Your name inspires awe over all You have created – and let us say: Amen.

PRAYER FOR THE STATE OF ISRAEL
Heavenly Father, Israel’s Rock and Redeemer, bless the State of Israel, the first flowering of our redemption. Shield it under the wings of Your loving-kindness and spread over it the Tabernacle of Your peace. Send Your light and truth to its leaders, ministers and counselors, and direct them with good counsel before You.
Strengthen the hands of the defenders of our Holy Land; grant them deliverance, our God, and crown them with the crown of victory. Grant peace in the land and everlasting joy to its inhabitants.
As for our brothers, the whole house of Israel, remember them in all the lands of our (In Israel: their) dispersion, and swiftly lead us (In Israel: them) upright to Zion Your city, and Jerusalem Your dwelling place, as is written in the Torah of Moses Your servant: “Even if you are scattered to the furthermost lands under the heavens, from there the LORD your God will gather you and take you back. The LORD your God will bring you to the land your ancestors possessed and you will possess it; and He will make you more prosperous and numerous than your ancestors. Then the LORD your God will open up your heart and the heart of your descendants, to love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul, that you may live.”
Unite our hearts to love and revere Your name and observe all the words of Your Torah, and swiftly send us Your righteous anointed one of the house of David, to redeem those who long for Your salvation.
Appear in Your glorious majesty over all the dwellers on earth, and let all who breathe declare: The LORD God of Israel is King and His kingship has dominion over all. Amen, Selah.

May the LORD make the enemies who rise against us be struck down before them. May the Holy One, blessed be He, protect and deliver them from all trouble and distress, affliction and illness, and send blessing and success to all the work of their hands. May He subdue our enemies under them and crown them with deliverance and victory. And may there be fulfilled in them the verse, “It is the LORD your God who goes with you to fight for you against your enemies, to deliver you.” And let us say: Amen.

May He who blessed our ancestors, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, Joseph, Moses and Aaron, David and Solomon, bless, protect and guard the members of Israel’s Defense Forces missing in action or held captive, and other captives among our brethren, the whole house of Israel, who are in distress or captivity, as we, the members of this holy congregation, pray on their behalf. May the Holy One, blessed be He, have compassion on them and bring them out from darkness and the shadow of death; may He break their bonds, deliver them from their distress, and bring them swiftly back to their families’ embrace. Give thanks to the LORD for His loving-kindness and for the wonders He does for the children of men; and may there be fulfilled in them the verse: “Those redeemed by the LORD will return; they will enter Zion with singing, and everlasting joy will crown their heads. Gladness and joy will overtake them, and sorrow and sighing will flee away.” And let us say: Amen.
