לַמְנַצֵּֽחַ For the conductor of music. Upon the death of Labben. A psalm of David. I will thank You, LORD, with all my heart; I will tell of all Your wonders. I will rejoice and exult in You; I will sing praise to Your name, Most High. My enemies retreat; they stumble and perish before You. For You have upheld my case and my cause; You have sat enthroned as righteous Judge. You have rebuked nations and destroyed the wicked, blotting out their name for ever and all time. The enemy are finished, ruined forever; You have overthrown their cities; even the memory of them is lost. But the LORD abides forever; He has established His throne for judgment. He will judge the world with righteousness, and try the cause of peoples with justice. The LORD is a refuge for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble. Those who know Your name trust in You, for You, LORD, do not forsake those who seek You. Sing praise to the LORD who dwells in Zion; tell the peoples of His deeds. For He who avenges blood remembers; He does not forget the cry of the afflicted. Have mercy on me, LORD, see how my enemies afflict me. Lift me up from the gates of death, that in the gates of the Daughter of Zion I may tell all Your praises and rejoice in Your deliverance. The nations have fallen into the pit they dug; their feet are caught in the net they hid. The LORD is known by His justice; the wicked is ensnared by the work of his own hands. Reflect on this, Selah. The wicked return to the grave, all the nations that forget God. The needy will not be forgotten forever, nor the hope of the afflicted ever be lost. Arise, LORD, let not man have power; let the nations be judged in Your presence. Strike them with fear, LORD; let the nations know they are only men. Selah.

אָבִֽינוּ שֶׁבַּשָּׁמַֽיִם Heavenly Father, God, Source of the spirits of all flesh, remember, we pray You, the pure souls of our sons and daughters who heroically gave their lives in defense of the people and the Land. Swifter than eagles, stronger than lions, they fought for the liberation of their people and homeland, sacrificing their lives for Israel’s rebirth in its holy land. They breathed a spirit of strength and courage into the whole house of Israel, in the Land and the Diaspora, inspiring it to go forward toward its redemption and liberation. Remember them, our God, for good, together with the myriad holy ones and heroes of Israel from ancient times. May their souls be bound in the bonds of everlasting life, may the Garden of Eden be their resting place, may they rest in peace and receive their reward at the End of Days. Amen.

לְדָוִד Of David. Blessed is the LORD, my Rock, who trains my hands for war, my fingers for battle. He is my Benefactor, my Fortress, my Stronghold and my Refuge, my Shield in whom I trust, He who subdues nations under me. LORD, what is man that You care for him, what are mortals that You think of them? Man is no more than a breath, his days like a fleeting shadow. LORD, part Your heavens and come down; touch the mountains so that they pour forth smoke. Flash forth lightning and scatter them; shoot Your arrows and panic them. Reach out Your hand from on high; deliver me and rescue me from the mighty waters, from the hands of strangers, whose every word is worthless, whose right hands are raised in falsehood. To You, God, I will sing a new song; to You I will play music on a ten-stringed harp. He who gives salvation to kings, who saved His servant David from the cruel sword: may He deliver me and rescue me from the hands of strangers, whose every word is worthless, whose right hands are raised in falsehood. Then our sons will be like saplings, well nurtured in their youth. Our daughters will be like pillars carved for a palace. Our barns will be filled with every kind of provision. Our sheep will increase by thousands, even tens of thousands in our fields. Our oxen will draw heavy loads. There will be no breach in the walls, no going into captivity, no cries of distress in our streets. Happy are the people for whom this is so; happy are the people whose God is the LORD.
