Blessed are You, LORD our God, King of the Universe, who makes the bonds of sleep fall on my eyes, and slumber on my eyelids. May it be Your will, LORD my God and God of my fathers, that You make me lie down in peace and arise in peace. Let not my imagination, bad dreams or troubling thoughts disturb me. May my bed be flawless before You. Enlighten my eyes lest I sleep the sleep of death, for it is You who illuminates the pupil of the eye. Blessed are You, LORD, who gives light to the whole world in His glory.
God, faithful King!
Listen, Israel: the LORD is our God, the LORD is One.
Quietly: Blessed be the name of His glorious kingdom for ever and all time.
Love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your might. These words which I command you today shall be on your heart. Teach them repeatedly to your children, speaking of them when you sit at home and when you travel on the way, when you lie down and when you rise. Bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be an emblem between your eyes. Write them on the doorposts of your house and gates.

He who lives in the shelter of the Most High dwells in the shadow of the Almighty. I say of God, my Refuge and Stronghold, my LORD in whom I trust, that He will save you from the fowler’s snare and the deadly pestilence. With His pinions He will cover you, and beneath His wings you will find shelter; His faithfulness is an encircling shield. You need not fear terror by night, nor the arrow that flies by day; not the pestilence that stalks in darkness, nor the plague that ravages at noon. A thousand may fall at your side, ten thousand at your right hand, but it will not come near you. You will only look with your eyes and see the punishment of the wicked. Because you [have said:] “The LORD is my Refuge,” taking the Most High as your shelter, no harm will befall you, no plague come near your tent, for He will command His angels about you, to guard you in all your ways. They will lift you in their hands, lest your foot stumble on a stone. You will tread on lions and vipers; you will trample on young lions and snakes. [God says:] “Because he loves Me, I will rescue him; I will protect him, because he acknowledges My name. When he calls on Me, I will answer him; I will be with him in distress, I will deliver him and bring him honor. With long life I will satisfy him and show him My salvation. With long life I will satisfy him and show him My salvation.

LORD, how numerous are my enemies, how many rise against me. Many say of me: “There is no help for him in God,” Selah. But You, LORD, are a shield around me. You are my glory; You raise my head high. I cry aloud to the LORD, and He answers me from His holy mountain, Selah. I lie down to sleep and I wake again, for the LORD supports me. I will not fear the myriad forces ranged against me on all sides. Arise, LORD, save me, O my God; strike all my enemies across the cheek; break the teeth of the wicked. From the LORD comes deliverance; may Your blessing rest upon Your people, Selah.
Help us lie down, O LORD our God, in peace, and rise up, O our King, to life. Spread over us Your canopy of peace. Direct us with Your good counsel, and save us for the sake of Your name. Shield us and remove from us every enemy, plague, sword, famine and sorrow. Remove the adversary from before and behind us. Shelter us in the shadow of Your wings, for You, God, are our Guardian and Deliverer; You, God, are a gracious and compassionate King. Guard our going out and our coming in, for life and peace, from now and for ever.
Blessed is the LORD by day, blessed is the LORD by night. Blessed is the LORD when we lie down; blessed is the LORD when we rise. For in Your hand are the souls of the living and the dead, [as it is written:] “In His hand is every living soul, and the breath of all mankind.” Into Your hand I entrust my spirit: You redeemed me, LORD, God of truth. Our God in heaven, bring unity to Your name, establish Your kingdom constantly and reign over us for ever and all time.
May our eyes see, our hearts rejoice, and our souls be glad in Your true salvation, when Zion is told, “Your God reigns.” The LORD is King, the LORD was King, and the LORD will be King for ever and all time. For sovereignty is Yours, and to all eternity You will reign in glory, for we have no king but You.
May the angel who rescued me from all harm, bless these boys. May they be called by my name and the names of my fathers Abraham and Isaac, and may they increase greatly on the earth.
He said, “If you listen carefully to the voice of the LORD your God and do what is right in His eyes, if you pay attention to His commandments and keep all His statutes, I will not bring on you any of the diseases I brought on the Egyptians, for I am the LORD who heals you.” The LORD said to the accuser, “The LORD shall rebuke you, accuser. The LORD who has chosen Jerusalem shall rebuke you! Is not this man a burning stick snatched from the fire?” Look! It is Solomon’s bed, escorted by sixty warriors, the noblest of Israel, all of them wearing the sword, experienced in battle, each with his sword at his side, prepared for the terror of the nights.
May the LORD bless you and protect you. May the LORD make His face shine on you and be gracious to you. May the LORD turn His face toward you and grant you peace.
See – the Guardian of Israel neither slumbers nor sleeps.
For Your salvation I hope, LORD. I hope, LORD, for Your salvation. LORD, for Your salvation I hope.
In the name of the LORD, God of Israel: may Michael be at my right hand, Gabriel, at my left; in front of me, Uriel, behind me, Raphael; and above my head the Presence of God.
A song of ascents. Happy are all who fear the LORD, who walk in His ways. When you eat the fruit of your labor, happy and fortunate are you. Your wife shall be like a fruitful vine within your house; your sons like olive saplings around your table. So shall the man who fears the LORD be blessed. May the LORD bless you from Zion; may you see the good of Jerusalem all the days of your life; and may you live to see your children’s children. Peace be on Israel!
Tremble, and do not sin. Search your heart as you lie on your bed, and be silent. Selah.
LORD of the Universe, who reigned before the birth of any thing; when by His will all things were made, then was His name proclaimed King. And when all things shall cease to be, He alone will reign in awe. He was, He is, and He shall be glorious for evermore. He is One, there is none else, alone, unique, beyond compare; Without beginning, without end, His might, His rule are everywhere. He is my God; my Redeemer lives. He is the Rock on whom I rely – my banner and my safe retreat, my cup, my portion when I cry. Into His hand my soul I place, when I awake and when I sleep. The LORD is with me, I shall not fear; body and soul from harm will He keep.
