A song of praise by David. I will exalt You, my God, the King, and bless Your name for ever and all time. Every day I will bless You, and praise Your name for ever and all time. Great is the Lord and greatly to be praised; His greatness is unfathomable. One generation will praise Your works to the next, and tell of Your mighty deeds. On the glorious splendor of Your majesty I will meditate, and on the acts of Your wonders. They shall talk of the power of Your awesome deeds, and I will tell of Your greatness. They shall recite the record of Your great goodness, and sing with joy of Your righteousness. The LORD is gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and great in loving-kindness. The LORD is good to all, and His compassion extends to all His works. All Your works shall thank You, LORD, and Your devoted ones shall bless You. They shall talk of the glory of Your kingship, and speak of Your might. To make known to mankind His mighty deeds and the glorious majesty of His kingship. Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and Your reign is for all generations. The LORD supports all who fall, and raises all who are bowed down. All raise their eyes to You in hope, and You give them their food in due season. You open Your hand, and satisfy every living thing with favor. The LORD is righteous in all His ways, and kind in all He does. The LORD is close to all who call on Him, to all who call on Him in truth. He fulfills the will of those who revere Him; He hears their cry and saves them. The LORD guards all who love Him, but all the wicked He will destroy. My mouth shall speak the praise of the LORD, and all creatures shall bless His holy name for ever and all time. We will bless the LORD now and for ever. Halleluya!

וּבָא לְצִיּוֹן גּוֹאֵל “A redeemer will come to Zion, to those of Jacob who repent of their sins,” declares the LORD. “As for Me, this is My covenant with them,” says the LORD. “My spirit, that is on you, and My words I have placed in your mouth will not depart from your mouth, or from the mouth of your children, or from the mouth of their descendants from this time on and for ever,” says the LORD. You are the Holy One, enthroned on the praises of Israel. And [the angels] call to one another, saying, “Holy, holy, holy is the LORD of hosts; the whole world is filled with His glory.” And they receive permission from one another, saying: “Holy in the highest heavens, home of His Presence; holy on earth, the work of His strength; holy for ever and all time is the LORD of hosts; the whole earth is full of His radiant glory.” Then a wind lifted me up and I heard behind me the sound of a great noise, saying, “Blessed is the LORD’s glory from His place.” Then a wind lifted me up and I heard behind me the sound of a great tempest of those who uttered praise, saying, “Blessed is the LORD’s glory from the place of the home of His Presence.” The LORD shall reign for ever and all time. The LORD’s kingdom is established for ever and all time. LORD, God of Abraham, Isaac and Yisrael, our ancestors, may You keep this for ever so that it forms the thoughts in Your people’s heart, and directs their heart toward You. He is compassionate. He forgives iniquity and does not destroy. Repeatedly He suppresses His anger, not rousing His full wrath. For You, my LORD, are good and forgiving, abundantly kind to all who call on You. Your righteousness is eternally righteous, and Your Torah is truth. Grant truth to Jacob, loving-kindness to Abraham, as You promised our ancestors in ancient times. Blessed is my LORD for day after day He burdens us [with His blessings]; God is our salvation, Selah! The LORD of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge, Selah! LORD of hosts, happy is the one who trusts in You. LORD, save. May the King answer us on the day we call. Blessed is He, our God, who created us for His glory, separating us from those who go astray; who gave us the Torah of truth, planting within us eternal life. May He open our heart to His Torah, imbuing our heart with the love and awe of Him, that we may do His will and serve Him with a perfect heart, so that we neither toil in vain nor give birth to confusion. May it be Your will, O LORD our God and God of our ancestors, that we keep Your laws in this world, and thus be worthy to live, see and inherit goodness and blessing in the Messianic Age and in the life of the World to Come. So that my soul may sing to You and not be silent. LORD, my God, for ever I will thank You. Blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD, whose trust is in the LORD alone. Trust in the LORD for evermore, for God, the LORD, is an everlasting Rock. Those who know Your name trust in You, for You, LORD, do not forsake those who seek You. The LORD desired, for the sake of Israel’s merit, to make the Torah great and glorious.

HOLINESS
You are holy and Your name is holy, and holy ones praise You daily, Selah!
And so place the fear of You, LORD our God, over all that You have made, and the terror of You over all You have created, and all who were made will stand in awe of You, and all of creation will worship You, and they will be bound all together as one to carry out Your will with an undivided heart; for we know, LORD our God, that all dominion is laid out before You, strength is in Your palm, and might in Your right hand, Your name spreading awe over all You have created.
And so place honor, LORD, upon Your people, praise on those who fear You and hope into those who seek You, the confidence to speak into all who long for You, gladness to Your land and joy to Your city, the flourishing of pride to David Your servant, and a lamp laid out for his descendant, Your anointed, soon, in our days.
And then righteous people will see and rejoice, and the upright will exult, and the pious revel in joy, and injustice will have nothing more to say, and all wickedness will fade away like smoke as You sweep the rule of arrogance from the earth.
And You, LORD, will rule alone over those You have made, in Mount Zion, the dwelling of Your glory, and in Jerusalem, Your holy city, as it is written in Your holy Writings: “The LORD shall reign for ever. He is your God, Zion, from generation to generation, Halleluya!”

(Our God and God of our ancestors, find favor in our rest.) Make us holy through Your commandments and grant us our share in Your Torah. Satisfy us with Your goodness, grant us joy in Your salvation (in love and favor, O LORD our God, grant us as our heritage Your holy Sabbaths, so that Israel, who sanctify Your name, may find rest on them), and purify our hearts to serve You in truth. For You are the Forgiver of Israel and the Pardoner of the tribes of Yeshurun in every generation, and without You we have no king who pardons and forgives, none but You. Blessed are You, LORD, King who pardons and forgives our iniquities and those of all His people the house of Israel, and makes our guilt pass away, every single year, King of all the earth, who sanctifies (the Sabbath,) Israel and the Day of Atonement.

You give Your hand to help transgressors; Your right hand is outstretched to receive those who return. And You have taught us, LORD our God, to confess before You all our iniquities, that we may end the oppression that is in our hands, and that You may receive us back in perfect repentance before You, like burnt offerings and their sweet savor, for the sake of the words You have spoken. There is no end to the burnt offerings we owe You, no number to the guilt-offerings of sweet savor. And You know that our end will be with maggots and worms. And so You forgive us again and again. What are we? What are our lives? What is our loving-kindness? What is our righteousness? What is our salvation? What is our strength? What is our might? What shall we say before You, LORD our God and God of our ancestors? Are not all the mighty like nothing before You, the men of renown as if they had never been, the wise as if they know nothing, and the understanding as if they lack intelligence? For their many works are in vain, and the days of their lives like a fleeting breath before You. The pre-eminence of man over the animals is nothing, for all is but a fleeting breath.

You have separated man out from the outset; You have recognized him, had him stand before You. For who can tell You what You are to do; and even if one proves righteous – what can he give You? And You, LORD our God, have given us in love (on Shabbat: this Sabbath day and) this Day of Atonement, to be the end, the pardon and forgiveness of all our iniquities, that we may end the oppression that is in our hands, and return to You, to fulfill the laws of Your will wholeheartedly. And You, in Your great compassion, have compassion for us, for You will not desire the destruction of the world, as it is said: “Seek out the LORD when He is to be found; call out to Him now when He is close.” And it is said: “Let each wicked person abandon his ways, each man of iniquity his thoughts, and let him come back to the LORD and He will have compassion for him; back to our God for He will forgive abundantly.” And You, God of forgiveness, gracious and compassionate, slow to anger, abounding in loving-kindness and truth and doing abundant good for us; You desire the repentance of the wicked and do not desire their death, as it is said: “Say to them, as I live – says the LORD God – I do not desire the death of the wicked, but that the wicked should come back from his way and live. Repent, repent your evil ways; why should you die, O house of Israel?’” And it is said: “Do I desire the wicked man’s death? – says the God – Do I not desire him to come back from his ways and live?” And it is said: “For I do not desire the condemned man’s death – says the LORD God – Repent, and live.” For You are the Forgiver of Israel and the Pardoner of the tribes of Yeshurun in every generation, and without You we have no king who pardons and forgives, none but You. My God, before I was formed I was unworthy, and now that I have been formed it is as if I had not been formed. I am dust while alive, how much more so when I am dead. See, I am before You like a vessel filled with shame and disgrace. May it be Your will, LORD my God and God of my fathers, that I may sin no more, and as for the sins I have committed before You, erase them in Your great compassion, but not by suffering or severe illness.

Open my heart to Your Torah and let my soul pursue Your commandments. As for all who plan evil against me, swiftly thwart their counsel and frustrate their plans. Act for the sake of Your name; act for the sake of Your right hand; act for the sake of Your holiness; act for the sake of Your Torah. That Your beloved ones may be delivered, save with Your right hand and answer me. May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart find favor before You, LORD, my Rock and Redeemer.
