UNITY & ONENESS OF G-D IS KEY TO A LOVING RELATIONSHIP WITH G-D
There are Mitzvot we do as Chinuch, same with the mitzvah of Ahava & Yirah.
Two levels of of Love.
The soul yearns to unite with its creator with joy & pleasure. This is the level of a Tzadik that receives this as a gift for transforming its body & studies lots of Torah & does many Mitzvot it merits a Soul on the level of Neshama.
Love thru meditation.
A. In general G-D is our life so the way we love ourselves that's how we love G-D.
B. Specifically. As great as G-D is G-D showed us tremendous love by reaching out us we will naturally love G-D back.
This level is what Moshe tried to train us as outlined in Chumash in Parsha Ekev etc.
On this level of love there can be a command from Hashem.
As you grow & aim for the high level the lower level of meditation is deeper ingrained & there for you in your lows of the journey of life.
As a primer to any love is pure faith in the oneness & unity of G-D. Hence this section of Tanya on the Unity & oneness of G-D & the first that should have been second will talk in depth about love.
