בְּמִפַּק יִשְׂרָאֵל מִמִצְרַיִם בֵּית יַעֲקֹב מֵעַמֵי בַּרְבְּרָאֵי:
On Israel's leaving Egypt, the house of Jacob from barbarian nations,
הֲוָת כְּנִשְׁתָּא דְבֵית יְהוּדָה אֲחִידָא לְקוּדְשֵׁיהּ יִשְׂרָאֵל לְשַׁלִיטוֹי:
the assembly of the house of Judah wastaken for His holiness, Israel for His rule.
יַמָא אִסְתַּכַּל וְאַפֵּךְ יוֹרְדְנָא חֲזַר לְאָחוֹר:
Some texts add The sea saw and fled, the Jordan turned back,
טוּרַיָא טְפַזוּ הֵיךְ דִכְרִין גַלְמָתָא הֵיךְ בְּנִין דְעָאן:
Some texts add the mountains sprung up like rams, the hills like lambs of the flock.
מַה לָךְ יַמָא אֲרוּם תְּאַפֵּךְ יוֹרְדְנָא תַּחֲזוֹר לַאֲחוֹרָא:
Some texts add What's with you, sea, that you flee, Jordan, that you turn back;
טוּרַיָא טְפַזוּ הֵיךְ דִכְרִין גַלְמָתָא הֵיךְ בְּנִין דְעָאן:
mountains, that you sprung up like rams, hills like lambs of the flock?
מִן קֳדָם קֵירִיס אִתְחַלְחַלִי אַרְעָא מִן קֳדָם אֱלָהָא דְיַעֲקֹב:
From before the Lordnote the earth shakes, from before the God of Jacob,
דְהָפַךְ טִינָרָא לַאֲרִיתָא דְמַיָא שָׁמִיר לְמַעְיָן דְמַיִין:
who turned the flint into a channel of water, the adamant into a spring of water.
