This is the book of the generations of man. On the day Elohim created man. He made him in the likeness of Elohim.

This is the book of the generations of Adam (Man). In the day that God created mankind, in the likeness of God He made him;

This is the numeration of the generations of Adam on the day G-d created man [(Adam begetting on the day he was born)]. In the likeness of G-d He made him.

Male and female He created them. He blessed them and named them man [Adam] on the day that they were created.

The days of Adam after he had Sheis were eight hundred years, and he had sons and daughters.

And the days of Adam after he begot Sheth were eight hundred years, and he begot sons and daughters.

All the days that Adam lived were nine hundred and thirty years, and he died.

And all the days of Adam, which he lived, were nine hundred and thirty years, and he died.

Sheis lived a hundred and five years and he had a son, Enosh.

And Shet lived a hundred and five years, and begot Enosh:

And Sheth lived a hundred and five years and he begot Enosh.

After he had Enosh, Sheis lived eight hundred and seven years, and he had sons and daughters.

and Shet lived after he begot Enosh eight hundred and seven years, and begot sons and daughters:

And Sheth lived, after he begot Enosh, eight hundred and seven years, and he begot sons and daughters.

All the days of Sheis were nine hundred and twelve years, and he died.

and all the days of Shet were nine hundred and twelve years: and he died.

And all the days of Sheth were nine hundred and twelve years, and he died.

Enosh lived ninety years and he had a son, Keinan.

And Enosh lived ninety years, and begot Qenan:

And Enosh lived ninety years and he begot Keinan.

After he had Keinan, Enosh lived eight hundred and fifteen years, and he had sons and daughters.

and Enosh lived after he begot Qenan eight hundred and fifteen years, and begot sons and daughters:

And Enosh lived, after he begot Keinan, eight hundred and fifteen years, and he begot sons and daughters.

All the days of Enosh were nine hundred and five years, and he died.

and all the days of Enosh were nine hundred and five years: and he died.

Keinan lived seventy years and he had a son, Mahalaleil.

And Qenan lived seventy years, and begot Mahalal᾽el:

And Keinan lived seventy years and he begot Mahalalel.

After he had Mahalaleil, Keinan lived eight hundred and forty years, and he had sons and daughters.

and Qenan lived after he begot Mahalal᾽el eight hundred and forty years, and begot sons and daughters:

And Keinan lived, after he begot Mahalalel, eight hundred and forty years, and he begot sons and daughters.

All the days of Keinan were nine hundred and ten years, and he died.

and all the days of Qenan were nine hundred and ten years: and he died.

And all the days of Keinan were nine hundred and ten years, and he died.

Mahalaleil lived sixty-five years and he had a son, Yered.

And Mahalal᾽el lived sixty five years, and begot Yered:

And Mahalalel lived sixty-five years and he begot Yared.

After he had Yered, Mahalaleil lived eight hundred and thirty years, and he had sons and daughters.

and Mahalal᾽el lived after he begot Yered eight hundred and thirty years, and he begot sons and daughters:

And Mahalalel lived, after he begot Yared, eight hundred and thirty years, and he begot sons and daughters.

All the days of Mahalaleil were eight hundred and ninety-five years, and he died.

and all the days of Mahalal᾽el were eight hundred and ninety five years: and he died.

And all the days of Mahalalel were eight hundred and ninety-five years, and he died.

Yered lived one hundred and sixty-two years and he had a son, Chanoch.

And Yered lived a hundred and sixty two years, and he begot Ḥanokh:

And Yered lived a hundred and sixty-two years and he begot Chanoch.

After he had Chanoch, Yered lived eight hundred years and he had sons and daughters.

and Yered lived after he begot Ḥanokh eight hundred years, and begot sons and daughters:

And Yered lived, after he begot Chanoch, eight hundred years, and he begot sons and daughters.

All the days of Yered were nine hundred sixty-two years, and he died.

and all the days of Yered were nine hundred and sixty two years: and he died.

And all the days of Yered were nine hundred and sixty-two years, and he died.

Chanoch lived sixty-five years and he had a son, Mesushelach.

And Ḥanokh lived sixty five years, and begot Metushelaĥ:

And Chanoch lived sixty-five years and he begot Methuselah.

Chanoch walked with Elohim, after he had Mesushelach, [for] three hundred years, and he had sons and daughters.

and Ḥanokh walked with God after he begot Metushelaĥ three hundred years, and begot sons and daughters:

And Chanoch walked with G-d after he begot Methuselah three hundred years, and he begot sons and daughters.

All the days of Chanoch were three hundred and sixty-five years.

and all the days of Ḥanokh were three hundred and sixty five years:

And all the days of Chanoch were three hundred and sixty-five years.

Chanoch walked with Elohim, and he was no longer [there] for Elohim took him.

and Ḥanokh walked with God: and he was not; for God took him.

And Chanoch walked with G-d, and he was not, for G-d took him [before his time, so that he not depart from his righteousness.]

Mesushelach lived one hundred and eighty-seven years and he had a son Lemech.

And Metushelaĥ lived a hundred and eighty seven years, and begot Lemekh:

And Methuselah lived a hundred and eighty-seven years and he begot Lamech.

After he had Lemech, Mesushelach lived seven hundred and eighty-two years, and he had sons and daughters.

and Metushelaĥ lived after he begot Lemekh seven hundred and eighty two years, and begot sons and daughters:

And Methuselah lived, after he begot Lemech, seven hundred and eighty-two years, and he begot sons and daughters.

All the days of Mesushelach were nine hundred and sixty-nine, and he died.

and all the days of Metushelaĥ were nine hundred and sixty nine years: and he died.

And all the days of Methuselah were nine hundred and sixty-nine years, and he died.

Lemech lived one hundred and eighty-two years and had a son.

And Lemekh lived a hundred and eighty two years, and begot a son:

And Lemech lived a hundred and eighty-two years and he begot a son [ben, from whom the world was built (nivneh)].

He named his son Noach, saying, This one will bring us rest from our work and the anguish of our hands, from the soil which Adonoy has cursed.

and he called his name Noaĥ, saying, This one shall comfort us for our work and the toil of our hands, because of the ground which the Lord has cursed.

And he called his name Noach, saying: This one will "ease us" (yenachamenu) of our deeds and of the toil of our hands from the earth, which the L-rd cursed, [(Noach providing plowing tools for them, and the earth ceasing to sprout thorns and thistles whenever they sowed wheat)].

After he had Noach, Lemech lived five hundred and ninety-five years, and he had sons and daughters.

And Lemekh lived after he begot Noaĥ five hundred and ninety five years, and begot sons and daughters:

And Lemech lived, after he begot Noach, five hundred and ninety-five years, and he begot sons and daughters.

All the days of Lemech were seven hundred and seventy-seven years, and he died.

and all the days of Lemekh were seven hundred and seventy seven years: and he died.

And all the days of Lemech were seven hundred and seventy-seven years, and he died.

Noach was five hundred years old, and Noach produced Sheim, Cham, and Yafes.

And Noaĥ was five hundred years old: and Noaĥ begot Shem, Ḥam, and Yefet.

And Noach was five hundred years old [(G-d keeping him from begetting until then so that none of his sons reach the (then) age of punishment (100) before the flood.)] And Noach begot Shem, Cham, and Yafeth [(Shem, the righteous one, born circumcised, the progenitor of Abraham, being mentioned first, though Yefeth was the oldest.)]
