Taking from one’s friend comes in two ways – taking possession and taking from one giving willingly. And with both ways, there is a difference between whether ממנו or מ comes afterwards or the word מאתו comes afterwards:
The language of taking with possession is indicated with the word מאתו, that he takes an object that is in the domain of his friend, and the language of taking from his friend giving willingly is indicated with the word מאתו, that he gives it to him with good will. And the word מאתו does not come if it is taken without the will of the owner.
And the language הנחה (placing) is used sometimes with complete abandonment and sometimes with incomplete abandonment.
