And from the word אין, the word מאן (refuse) is derived, according to the sages of blessed memory, just as from the word הן, ותהינו לעלות ההרה (and deemed it a light thing to go up into the hill-country)⁷⁸⁸ is derived.

And there is a difference between מאן and לא אבה (refuse): מאן is oral and he says אין, while לא אבה is in the heart.
