Of David. Bless the Lord, O my soul: and all that is within me bless his holy name.

[A psalm] of David. Bless the L rd, my soul, and all my innards, the name of His holiness.

Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits:

Bless the L rd, my soul, and do not forget all of His lovingkindnesses.

who forgives all thy iniquities; who heals all thy diseases;

He forgives all of your sins; he heals all of your ills.

who redeems thy life from the pit; who encircles thee with love and compassion;

He redeems your life from the pit; He crowns you with lovingkindness and mercy.

who satisfies thy old age with good; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle’s.

He sates your mouth with good, and your youth is renewed as [the wings of] the eagle.

The Lord executes righteousness, and judgment for all that are oppressed.

The L rd works righteousness and judgment for all who are ravaged.

He made known his ways to Moshe, his acts to the children of Yisra᾽el.

He makes known His ways to Moses; His deeds, to the children of Israel.

The Lord is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and plenteous in steadfast love.

Merciful and gracious is the L rd, withholding wrath and abundant in lovingkindness.

He will not always chide: neither will he keep his anger forever.

Not eternally shall He quarrel; not forever shall He bear a grudge.

He has not dealt with us after our sins; nor repaid us according to our iniquities.

Not as our sins did He do unto us; not as our transgressions did He recompense us.

For as the heaven is high above the earth, so great is his steadfast love towards those who fear him.

For as the height of heaven over earth, so did His lovingkindness exalt itself over those who fear Him.

As far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us.

As east is distant from west, so did He distance our offenses from us.

As a father pities his children, so the Lord pities those who fear him.

As a father is merciful to his son, so is the L rd merciful to those who fear Him.

For he knows our frame; he remembers that we are dust.

For He knows our creation [i.e., our origin]; He remembers that we are dust.

As for man, his days are like grass: like a flower of the field, so he blooms.

[He knows that] the days of man are like the grass; as the sprouting of the field, so does he sprout.

For the wind passes over it, and it is gone; and its place knows it no more.

For a "wind" [of illness] passes over him and he is no more, and his place no longer knows him.

But the steadfast love of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting upon those who fear him, and his righteousness to children’s children;

But the lovingkindness of the L rd is from [this] world to [the next] world to those who fear Him, and His righteousness to the sons of sons.

to such as keep his covenant, and to those who remember his commandments to do them.

To the keepers of His covenant and the rememberers of His commandments, to do them.

The Lord has established his throne in the heavens; and his kingdom rules over all.

The L rd in the heavens has founded His throne and His kingdom reigns over all.

Bless the Lord, you angels of his, you mighty ones who perform his bidding, hearkening to the voice of his word.

Bless the L rd, His angels, mighty of power, doing His word, heeding the voice of His word.

Bless the Lord, all his hosts; you ministers of his, who do his pleasure.

Bless the L rd all of His hosts, His ministers, the doers of His will.

Bless the Lord, all his works in all places of his dominion. Bless the Lord, O my soul!

Bless the L rd all of His works [which are] in all the places of His kingdom. Bless the L rd, my soul.
