מַטָל כָּס דִלְוָט לְאַשְׁקָאָה יַת צוֹר אֵילִילוּ נָחֲתֵי סְפִינֵי יַמָא אֲרֵי אִתְבְּזִיזוּ מְחוֹזֵיהוֹן מִלְמֵיתֵי מֵאַרְעָא כִסְאֵי אָתֵי עֲלֵיהוֹן:
The Burden Of The Cup Of Cursing, To Give Tyre To Drink. Howl, O ye that are embarking! in ships of the sea, because their havens are spoiled, so that none can enter in. From the land of Chittim it is coming upon them.
אִתְּבַּרוּ יָתְבֵי נִיסָא תַּגְרֵי צִידוֹן דַהֲווֹ עָדָן בְּיַמָא מַלוּךְ:
The inhabitants of the island are destroyed, the merchants that pass over the sea they used to replenish thee.
דַהֲוַת מְסַפְּקָא סְחוֹרָא לְעַמְמִין סַגִיאִין דְבַחֲצַד כְּנִישַׁת נַהֲרָא עֲלַלְתָּהּ נַהֲרָא סְחוֹרָא לְעַמְמַיָא:
She was the plentiful mart for many nations; the harvest of the increase of the river was her revenue, and she became the mart of the nations.
בְּהִיתוּ צִידוֹנָאֵי אֲרֵי אֲמַר מְעַרְבָאָה דִי יָתֵיב בִּתְקוֹף יַמָא לְמֵימָר לְוַי לָא מַרְעֵית לָא אַעְדֵיתִי וְלָא רַבֵּיתִי עוּלֵמִין פַּנְקֵית בְּתוּלָן:
The Sidonians are confounded, because the west hath spoken, which dwells in the strength of the sea, saying, O that I had never travailed, never conceived, and never nourished up young men, never brought up virgins delicately!
כְּמָא דִי שְׁמָעוּ לְמַחֲתָא דִלְקוֹ מִצְרָאֵי זָעוּ כַּד שְׁמַעוּ צוֹרָאֵי:
When they heard of the stroke wherewith the Egyptians were smitten, the Tyrians quaked when they heard it.
גְלוֹ לִמְדִינַת יַמָא אֵילִילוּ יָתְבֵי גִיסָא:
They have gone to a province of the sea. Howl, O inhabitants of the island!
הֲהָדָא לְכוֹן תַּקִיפְתָּא צוֹר מִיוֹמֵי קֶדֶם מִלְקָדְמִין הֲווֹ מַיְתָן לָהּ תַּקְרוּבְתָּא מֵאֲרַע רְחִיקָא כְדוֹ לְאִתּוֹתָבָא הָא גַלְיָא:
Is this your strong city, Tyre, of ancient days? In olden time they were bringing her gifts from a distant land; behold, now she is removed to sojourn afar off!
מַן מְלִיךְ דָא עַל צוֹר דַהֲיַת מְמַלְכָּא מַלְכִין דִי תַגָרָהָא רַבְרְבִין שִׁלְטוֹנָאָה יְקִירֵי אַרְעָא:
Who hath taken this counsel against Tyre, against her that was giving advice? whose merchants are princes, and whose rulers the nobles of the land.
יְיָ צְבָאוֹת מִלְכָהּ לְאַפָסָא יְקָר כָּל חֶדְוָתָא לְאַקָלָא כָּל יַקִירֵי אַרְעָא:
The Lord of hosts is the counsellor against her, to defile the glory of all the objects of rejoicing, and make contemptible all the nobles of the land.
גְלָא מֵאַרְעִיךְ כְּמֵי נַהֲרָא עֲרוֹקִי לִמְדִינַת יַמָא לֵית תְּקוֹף עוֹד:
Remove from thy land, as the waters of a river; flee to a province of the sea: there is no more strength.
גְבוּרְתֵּהּ מְרַמְמָא עַל יַמָא לַאֲזָעָא מַלְכְּוָתָא יְיָ פַּקֵיד עַל כְּנַעֲנָאָה לְשֵׁיצָאָה תּוּקְפָאָה:
His power is lifted up against the sea, to make the kingdom to tremble; the Lord has given the command concerning the merchant city, to make an end of her strength.
וַאֲמַר לָא תוֹסְפוּן עוֹד לְמִתְקַף דַהֲוֵיתוּן אָנְסִין לְעַמָא דִי בְצִידוֹן לְכִתִּים קוּמוּ גְלוֹ אַף לְתַמָן לָא יְהֵי לְכוֹן נְיָח:
And he said, ye shall no more be strong, ye that did violence to the people which are in Zidon. Arise, pass over to Chittim; even there ye shall have no rest.
הָא אַרְעָא כַּסְדָאֵי דֵין עַמָא כַּד לָא הֲוָה אַתּוּרָאָה שַׁכְלְלָהּ לְנַגְוַן אֲקִימוּ חֶזְוָתָהָא פַּגְרוּ בִרְנְיָתָהָא שַׁוְיוּהָא לִדְמְחַמְרָא:
Behold the land of the Chaldeans, this is the people that formerly did not exist; the Assyrians founded it in the islands; they raised up her beacons, they destroyed her palaces, they have made her a ruinous heap.
אֵילִילוּ נָחֲתֵי סְפִינֵי יַמָא אֲרֵי אִתְבְּזִיזוּ מְחוֹזֵי תוּקְפֵכוֹן:
Howl, ye that are embarking in ships of the sea, for the seacoast of your strength is spoiled.
וִיהֵי בְּעִדָנָא הַהִיא וְתִתְרְחֵיק צוֹר שַׁבְעִין שְׁנִין כְּיוֹמֵי מַלְכָּא חַד מִסוֹף שַׁבְעִין שְׁנִין יְהֵי לְצוֹר כְּתוּשְׁבְּחַת נַפְקַת בָּרָא:
And it shall come to pass at that time, that Tyre shall be put by for seventy years, according to the days of one king: at the end of seventy years, it shall be unto Tyre as the song of an harlot
אִתְחַלֵיף יְקָרִיךְ אִטַלְטֵל לִמְדִינָא קַרְתָּא דִי הֲוֵת כְנַפְקַת בְּרָא אִתְרַחֲקַת הֲפוּכִי כִנָרַיִךְ לְאֶבְלָא וּזְמָרַיִךְ לְאִלְיָא מָאִים יֵעוּל דָכְרָנֵיךְ:
Thy glory is changed: wander to another country, O city, who hast been as an harlot, thou art doomed to oblivion: thy harp is turned into mourning, and thy song to lamentation; perhaps, thou mayest be remembered.
וִיהֵי מִסוֹף שַׁבְעִין שְׁנִין יֵעוּל דָכְרָנָהּ דְצוֹר קֳדָם יְיָ וּתְתוּב לְאַתְרָהּ וּתְהֵי מְסַפְּקָא סְחוֹרָא לְכָל מַלְכְּוַת עַמְמַיָא דִי עַל אַפֵּי אַרְעָא:
And it shall come to pass after the end of seventy years that Tyre shall be remembered before the Lord; and she shall return to her place, and her mart shall be plentiful for all the kingdoms of the nations, which are upon the face of the earth.
וִיהֵי סְחוֹרְתָּהּ וְאַגְרָהּ קוּדְשָׁא קֳדָם יְיָ לָא יִתְאַצֵר וְלָא יִתְגְנַז אֲרֵי לְדִמְשַׁמְשִׁין קֳדָם יְיָ יְהֵי אַגְרָה לְמֵיכַל לְמִסְבַּע וְלִכְסוּ דִיקָר:
And her merchandise and her gain shall be holy before the Lord, it shall not be treasured nor laid up; for it shall be for them that are serving before the Lord; her gain shall be for food sufficient, and for vestments of glory.
