When I proclaim the LORD’s name, give glory to our God.

O LORD, open my lips, so that my mouth may declare Your praise.

PATRIARCHS

▾בָּרוּךְ Blessed are You, LORD our God and God of our fathers, God of Abraham, God of Isaac and God of Jacob; the great, mighty and awesome God, God Most High, who bestows acts of loving-kindness and creates all, who remembers the loving-kindness of the fathers and will bring a Redeemer to their children’s children for the sake of His name, in love. King, Helper, Savior, Shield: ▾Blessed are You, LORD, Shield of Abraham.

DIVINE MIGHT

אַתָּה גִּבּוֹר You are eternally mighty, LORD. You give life to the dead and have great power to save.

He makes the wind blow and the rain fall.

He causes the dew to fall.

He sustains the living with loving-kindness, and with great compassion revives the dead. He supports the fallen, heals the sick, sets captives free, and keeps His faith with those who sleep in the dust. Who is like You, Master of might, and and who can compare to You, O King who brings death and gives life, and makes salvation grow? Faithful are You to revive the dead. Blessed are You, LORD, who revives the dead.

KEDUSHA

Cong. then Leader: נַעֲרִיצְךָ We will revere and sanctify You with the words uttered by the holy Seraphim who sanctify Your name in the Sanctuary; as is written by Your prophet: “They call out to one another, saying:

Cong. then Leader: ▴Holy, ▴holy, ▴holy is the LORD of hosts; the whole world is filled with His glory.” His glory fills the universe. His ministering angels ask each other, “Where is the place of His glory?” Those facing them reply “Blessed –

Cong. then Leader: ▴“Blessed is the LORD’s glory from His place.” From His place may He turn with compassion and be gracious to the people who proclaim the unity of His name, morning and evening, every day, continually, twice each day reciting in love the Shema:

Cong. then Leader: “Listen, Israel: the LORD is our God, the LORD is One.” He is our God, He is our Father, He is our King, He is our Savior – and He, in His compassion, will let us hear a second time in the presence of all that lives, His promise “to be Your God. I am the LORD your God.”

Cong. then Leader: Glorious is our Glorious One, LORD our Master, and glorious is Your name throughout the earth. Then the LORD shall be King over all the earth; on that day the LORD shall be One and His name One.

Leader: And in Your holy Writings it is written:

Cong. then Leader: ▴“The LORD shall reign for ever. He is your God, Zion, from generation to generation, Halleluya!”

Leader: From generation to generation we will declare Your greatness, and we will proclaim Your holiness for evermore. Your praise, our God, shall not leave our mouth forever, for You, God, are a great and holy King. Blessed are You, LORD, the holy God.

KEDUSHA FOR ḤOL HAMO’ED

Cong. then Leader: נְקַדֵּשׁ We will sanctify Your name on earth, as they sanctify it in the highest heavens, as is written by Your prophet, “And they [the angels] call to one another saying:

HOLINESS

אַתָּה קָדוֹשׁ You are holy and Your name is holy, and holy ones praise You daily, Selah! Blessed are You, LORD, the holy God.

HOLINESS OF THE DAY

אַתָּה בְחַרְתָּֽנוּ You have chosen us from among all peoples. You have loved and favored us. You have raised us above all tongues. You have made us holy through Your commandments. You have brought us near, our King, to Your service, and have called us by Your great and holy name.

וַתִּתֶּן לָֽנוּ And You, LORD our God, have given us in love (Sabbaths for rest and) festivals for rejoicing, holy days and seasons for joy, (this Sabbath day and) this day of: On Pesaḥ: the festival of Matzot, the time of our freedom On Shavuot: the festival of Shavuot, the time of the giving of our Torah On Sukkot: the festival of Sukkot, our time of rejoicing On Shemini Atzeret & Simḥat Torah: the festival of the eighth day, Shemini Atzeret, our time of rejoicing (with love), a holy assembly in memory of the exodus from Egypt.

וּמִפְּנֵי חֲטָאֵֽינוּ But because of our sins we were exiled from our land and driven far from our country. We cannot go up to appear and bow before You, and to perform our duties in Your chosen House, the great and holy Temple that was called by Your name, because of the hand that was stretched out against Your Sanctuary. May it be Your will, LORD our God and God of our ancestors, merciful King, that You in Your abounding compassion may once more have mercy on us and on Your Sanctuary, rebuilding it swiftly and adding to its glory. Our Father, our King, reveal the glory of Your kingdom to us swiftly. Appear and be exalted over us in the sight of all that lives. Bring back our scattered ones from among the nations, and gather our dispersed people from the ends of the earth. Lead us to Zion, Your city, in jubilation, and to Jerusalem, home of Your Temple, with everlasting joy. There we will prepare for You our obligatory offerings: the regular daily offerings in their order and the additional offerings according to their law. And the additional offering(s of this Sabbath day and) of this day of: On Pesaḥ: the festival of Matzot. On Shavuot: the festival of Shavuot. On Sukkot: the festival of Sukkot. On Shemini Atzeret & Simḥat Torah: the festival of Shemini Atzeret. We will prepare and offer before You in love, in accord with Your will's commandment, as You wrote for us in Your Torah through Your servant Moses, by Your own word, as it is said:

וּבְיוֹם הַשַּׁבָּת On the Sabbath day, make an offering of two lambs a year old, without blemish, together with two-tenths of an ephah of fine flour mixed with oil as a meal-offering, and its appropriate libation. This is the burnt-offering for every Sabbath, in addition to the regular daily burnt-offering and its libation.

וּבַחֹֽדֶשׁ הָרִאשׁוֹן On the fourteenth day of the first month there shall be a Pesaḥ offering to the Lord. And on the fifteenth day of this month there shall be a festival: seven days unleavened bread shall be eaten. On the first day there shall be a sacred assembly: you shall do no laborious work. And you shall bring an offering consumed by fire, a burnt-offering to the Lord: two young bullocks, one ram, and seven yearling male lambs; they shall be to you unblemished. And their meal-offerings and wine-libations as ordained: three-tenths of an ephah for each bull, two-tenths of an ephah for the ram, one-tenth of an ephah for each lamb, wine for the libations, a male goat for atonement, and two regular daily offerings according to their law.

וְהִקְרַבְתֶּם And you shall bring an offering consumed by fire, a burnt-offering to the Lord: two young bullocks, one ram, and seven yearling male lambs; they shall be to you unblemished. And their meal-offerings and wine-libations as ordained: three-tenths of an ephah for each bull, two-tenths of an ephah for the ram, one-tenth of an ephah for each lamb, wine for the libations, a male goat for atonement, and two regular daily offerings according to their law.

וּבְיוֹם הַבִּכּוּרִים On the day of the first fruits, when you bring an offering of new grain to the Lord, on your Festival of Weeks, there shall be a sacred assembly: you shall do no laborious work. You shall offer a burnt-offering of pleasing aroma to the Lord: two young bullocks, one ram, and seven yearling male lambs. And their meal-offerings and wine-libations as ordained: three-tenths of an ephah for each bull, two-tenths of an ephah for the ram, one-tenth of an ephah for each lamb, wine for the libations, a male goat for atonement, and two regular daily offerings according to their law.

וּבַחֲמִשָּׁה עָשָׂר On the fifteenth day of the seventh month you shall hold a sacred assembly. You shall do no laborious work, and you shall celebrate a festival to the Lord for seven days. You shall offer a burnt-offering, a fire-offering of pleasing aroma to the Lord: thirteen young bullocks, two rams, and fourteen yearling male lambs; they shall be without blemish. And their meal-offerings and wine-libations as ordained: three-tenths of an ephah for each bull, two-tenths of an ephah for each ram, one-tenth of an ephah for each lamb, wine for the libations, a male goat for atonement, and two regular daily offerings according to their law.

וּבַיּוֹם הַשֵּׁנִי On the second day you shall offer twelve young bullocks, two rams, fourteen yearling male lambs without blemish. And their meal-offerings and wine-libations as ordained: three-tenths of an ephah for each bull, two-tenths of an ephah for each ram, one-tenth of an ephah for each lamb, wine for the libations, a male goat for atonement, and two regular daily offerings according to their law.

וּבַיּוֹם הַשְּׁלִישִׁי On the third day you shall offer eleven bullocks, two rams, fourteen yearling male lambs without blemish. And their meal-offerings and wine-libations as ordained: three-tenths of an ephah for each bull, two-tenths of an ephah for each ram, one-tenth of an ephah for each lamb, wine for the libations, a male goat for atonement, and two regular daily offerings according to their law.

And their meal-offerings and wine-libations as ordained: three-tenths of an ephah for each bull, two-tenths of an ephah for each ram, one-tenth of an ephah for each lamb, wine for the libations, a male goat for atonement, and two regular daily offerings according to their law.

On the eighth day you shall hold an assembly; you shall do no laborious work. And you shall offer a burnt-offering, a fire-offering of pleasing odor to the Lord: one bullock, one ram, seven yearling male lambs without blemish. And their meal-offerings and wine-libations as ordained: three-tenths of an ephah for each bull, two-tenths of an ephah for the ram, one-tenth of an ephah for each lamb, wine for the libations, a male goat for atonement, and two regular daily offerings according to their law.

Those who keep the Sabbath and call it a delight shall rejoice in Your kingship. The people who sanctify the seventh day shall all be satisfied and take delight in Your goodness, for You favored the seventh day and declared it holy. You called it "most desirable of days" in remembrance of Creation.

אֱלֹהֵֽינוּ Our God and God of our ancestors, merciful King, have compassion upon us. You who are good and do good, respond to our call. Return to us in Your abounding mercy for the sake of our fathers who did Your will. Rebuild Your Temple as at the beginning, and establish Your Sanctuary on its site. Let us witness its rebuilding and gladden us by its restoration. Bring the priests back to their service, the Levites to their song and music, and the Israelites to their homes.

וְשָׁם נַעֲלֶה There we will go up and appear and bow before You on the three pilgrimage festivals, as is written in Your Torah: “Three times in the year all your males shall appear before the LORD your God at the place He will choose: on Pesaḥ, Shavuot and Sukkot. They shall not appear before the LORD empty-handed. Each shall bring such a gift as he can, in proportion to the blessing that the LORD your God grants you.”

וְהַשִּׂיאֵֽנוּ Bestow on us, LORD our God, the blessing of Your festivals for life and peace, joy and gladness, as You desired and promised to bless us. (Our God and God of our ancestors, be pleased with our rest.) Make us holy through Your commandments and grant us a share in Your Torah; satisfy us with Your goodness, gladden us with Your salvation, and purify our hearts to serve You in truth. And grant us a heritage, LORD our God, (with love and favor,) with joy and gladness Your holy (Sabbath and) festivals. May Israel, who sanctify Your name, rejoice in You. Blessed are You, LORD, who sanctifies (the Sabbath and) Israel, and the festive seasons.

TEMPLE SERVICE

רְצֵה Find favor, LORD our God, in Your people Israel and their prayer. Restore the service to Your most holy House, and accept in love and favor the fire-offerings of Israel and their prayer. May the service of Your people Israel always find favor with You.

All: וְתֶעֱרַב May our entreaty be as pleasing to You as a burnt-offering and sacrifice. Please, Compassionate One, in Your abounding mercy restore Your Presence to Zion, Your city, and the order of the Temple service to Jerusalem. And may our eyes witness Your return to Zion in compassion, that there we may serve You with reverence as in the days of old and as in former years.

Leader: Blessed are You, LORD, for You alone do we serve with reverence.

All: וְתֶעֱרַב May our entreaty be as pleasing to You as a burnt-offering and sacrifice. Please, Compassionate One, in Your abounding mercy restore Your Presence to Zion, Your city, and the order of the Temple service to Jerusalem. That there we may serve You with reverence as in the days of old and as in former years.

And may our eyes witness Your return to Zion in compassion. Blessed are You, LORD, who restores His Presence to Zion.

THANKSGIVING

▾מוֹדִים We give thanks to You, for You are the Lord our God and God of our ancestors for ever and all time. You are the Rock of our lives, Shield of our salvation from generation to generation. We will thank You and declare Your praise for our lives, which are entrusted into Your hand; for our souls, which are placed in Your charge; for Your miracles which are with us every day; and for Your wonders and favors at all times, evening, morning and midday. You are good – for Your compassion never fails. You are compassionate – for Your loving-kindnesses never cease. We have always placed our hope in You.

During the Leader’s Repetition, the congregation says quietly: ▾מוֹדִים We give thanks to You, for You are the Lord our God and God of our ancestors, God of all flesh, who formed us and formed the universe. Blessings and thanks are due to Your great and holy name for giving us life and sustaining us. May You continue to give us life and sustain us; and may You gather our exiles to Your holy courts, to keep Your decrees, do Your will and serve You with a perfect heart, for it is for us to give You thanks. Blessed be God to whom thanks­giving is due.

וְעַל כֻּלָּם For all these things may Your name be blessed and exalted, our King, continually, for ever and all time. Let all that lives thank You, Selah! and praise Your name in truth, God, our Savior and Help, Selah! ▾Blessed are You, LORD, whose name is “the Good” and to whom thanks are due.

Our God and God of our fathers, bless us with the threefold blessing in the Torah, written by the hand of Moses Your servant and pronounced by Aaron and his sons the priests, Your holy people, as it is said: May the Lord bless you and protect you. Cong: May it be Your will. May the Lord make His face shine on you and be gracious to you. Cong: May it be Your will. May the Lord turn His face toward you, and grant you peace. Cong: May it be Your will.

PEACE

שִׂים שָׁלוֹם Grant peace, goodness and blessing, grace, loving-kindness and compassion to us and all Israel Your people. Bless us, our Father, all as one, with the light of Your face, for by the light of Your face You have given us, LORD our God, the Torah of life and love of kindness, righteousness, blessing, compassion, life and peace. May it be good in Your eyes to bless Your people Israel at every time, in every hour, with Your peace. Blessed are You, LORD, who blesses His people Israel with peace.

May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart find favor before You, LORD, my Rock and Redeemer.

אֱלֹהַי My God, guard my tongue from evil and my lips from deceitful speech. To those who curse me, let my soul be silent; may my soul be to all like the dust. Open my heart to Your Torah and let my soul pursue Your commandments. As for all who plan evil against me, swiftly thwart their counsel and frustrate their plans. Act for the sake of Your name; act for the sake of Your right hand; act for the sake of Your holiness; act for the sake of Your Torah. That Your beloved ones may be delivered, save with Your right hand and answer me. May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart find favor before You, LORD, my Rock and Redeemer.

May He who makes peace in His high places, make peace for us and all Israel – and say: Amen.

יְהִי רָצוֹן May it be Your will, LORD our God and God of our ancestors, that the Temple be rebuilt speedily in our days, and grant us a share in Your Torah. And there we will serve You with reverence, as in the days of old and as in former years. Then the offering of Judah and Jerusalem will be pleasing to the LORD as in the days of old and as in former years.
