A psalm of David. The earth is the LORD’s and all it contains, the world and all who live in it. For He founded it on the seas and established it on the streams. Who may climb the mountain of the LORD? Who may stand in His holy place? He who has clean hands and a pure heart, who has not taken My name in vain, or sworn deceitfully. He shall receive blessing from the LORD, and just reward from God, his salvation. This is a generation of those who seek Him, the descendants of Jacob who seek Your presence, Selah! Lift up your heads, O gates; be uplifted, eternal doors, so that the King of glory may enter. Who is the King of glory? It is the LORD, strong and mighty, the LORD mighty in battle. Lift up your heads, O gates; lift them up, eternal doors, so that the King of glory may enter. Who is He, the King of glory? The LORD of hosts, He is the King of glory, Selah!

May it be Your will, LORD our God, the great, mighty and awesome God, that You be filled with compassion, and are gracious to us, for Your own sake and for the holiness of this psalm [we have said], and the holy names mentioned in it, and for the holiness of its verses and words and letters and notes, and its secrets, and the holiness of the Holy Name (דיקרנוסא) that arises from the verse“I shall rain down upon you blessing without bounds” – and from the verse “Turn the light of Your face toward us, LORD.” And write us in the book of good sustenance, this year and for every year after – write us there, and all the people of our households, all the days of our lives, [that we may sustain ourselves] fully, with all that is needed and more, in permitted ways and not forbidden ones, in serenity, without suffering, and without hard labor and struggle, in tranquility and peace and security, with no evil eye upon us. Allow us the merit of carrying out our holy service untroubled. And sustain us with a living that comes without any shame or humiliation; let us never be dependent on the gifts of other people, but always receive from Your full, broad hand. Let us be successful, let us profit from all our study and in all the works of our hands and our dealings. May our houses be full of the LORD’s blessing, and let us have bread enough to satisfy us, let us be well. Compassionate and Gracious One, Protector, Supporter, Savior, Upright One, Redeemer (רח״ש תמי״ף), have compassion for us and listen to our prayer, for You listen to the prayers that each mouth speaks. Blessed is the One who listens to prayers

It is our duty to praise the Master of all, and ascribe greatness to the Author of creation, who has not made us like the nations of the lands, nor placed us like the families of the earth; who has not made our portion like theirs, nor our destiny like all their multitudes. (For they worship vanity and emptiness, and pray to a god who cannot save.) But we bow in worship and thank the Supreme King of kings, the Holy One, blessed be He, who extends the heavens and establishes the earth, whose throne of glory is in the heavens above, and whose power’s Presence is in the highest of heights. He is our God; there is no other. Truly He is our King; there is none else, as it is written in His Torah: “You shall know and take to heart this day that the LORD is God, in the heavens above and on the earth below. There is no other.”
Therefore, we place our hope in You, LORD our God, that we may soon see the glory of Your power, when You will remove abominations from the earth, and idols will be utterly destroyed, when the world will be perfected under the sovereignty of the Almighty, when all humanity will call on Your name, to turn all the earth’s wicked toward You. All the world’s inhabitants will realize and know that to You every knee must bow and every tongue swear loyalty. Before You, LORD our God, they will kneel and bow down and give honor to Your glorious name. They will all accept the yoke of Your kingdom, and You will reign over them soon and for ever. For the kingdom is Yours, and to all eternity You will reign in glory, as it is written in Your Torah: “The LORD will reign for ever and ever.” And it is said: “Then the LORD shall be King over all the earth; on that day the LORD shall be One and His name One.”
Have no fear of sudden terror or of the ruin when it overtakes the wicked. Devise your strategy, but it will be thwarted; propose your plan, but it will not stand, for God is with us. When you grow old, I will still be the same. When your hair turns gray, I will still carry you. I made you, I will bear you, I will carry you, and I will rescue you.

A psalm of David. The LORD is my light and my salvation – whom then shall I fear? The LORD is the stronghold of my life – of whom shall I be afraid? When evil men close in on me to devour my flesh, it is they, my enemies and foes, who stumble and fall. Should an army besiege me, my heart would not fear. Should war break out against me, still I would be confident. One thing I ask of the LORD, only this do I seek: to live in the House of the LORD all the days of my life, to gaze on the beauty of the LORD and worship in His Temple. For He will keep me safe in His pavilion on the day of trouble. He will hide me under the cover of His tent. He will set me high upon a rock. Now my head is high above my enemies who surround me. I will sacrifice in His tent with shouts of joy. I will sing and chant praises to the LORD. LORD, hear my voice when I call. Be gracious to me and answer me. On Your behalf my heart says, “Seek My face.” Your face, LORD, will I seek. Do not hide Your face from me. Do not turn Your servant away in anger. You have been my help. Do not reject or forsake me, God, my Savior. Were my father and my mother to forsake me, the LORD would take me in. Teach me Your way, LORD, and lead me on a level path, because of my oppressors. Do not abandon me to the will of my foes, for false witnesses have risen against me, breathing violence. Were it not for my faith that I shall see the LORD’s goodness in the land of the living. Hope in the LORD. Be strong and of good courage, and hope in the LORD!
LORD of the universe, who reigned before the birth of any thing –
When by His will all things were made then was His name proclaimed King.
And when all things shall cease to be He alone will reign in awe.
He was, He is, and He shall be glorious for evermore.
He is One, there is none else, alone, unique, beyond compare;
Without beginning, without end, His might, His rule are everywhere.
He is my God; my Redeemer lives. He is the Rock on whom I rely –
My banner and my safe retreat, my cup, my portion when I cry.
Into His hand my soul I place, when I awake and when I sleep.
The LORD is with me, I shall not fear; body and soul from harm will He keep.
Great is the living God and praised. He exists, and His existence is beyond time.
He is One, and there is no unity like His. Unfathomable, His oneness is infinite.
He has neither bodily form nor substance; His holiness is beyond compare.
He preceded all that was created. He was first: there was no beginning to His beginning.
Behold He is Master of the Universe; and every creature shows His greatness and majesty.
The rich flow of His prophecy He gave to His treasured people in whom He gloried.
Never in Israel has there arisen another like Moses, a prophet who beheld God’s image.
God gave His people a Torah of truth by the hand of His prophet, most faithful of His House.
God will not alter or change His law for any other, for eternity.
He sees and knows our secret thoughts; as soon as something is begun, He foresees its end.
He rewards people with loving-kindness according to their deeds; He punishes the wicked according to his wickedness.
At the end of days He will send our Messiah to redeem those who await His final salvation.
God will revive the dead in His great loving-kindness. Blessed for evermore is His glorious name!
Happy is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked, who does not stand on the path of sinners, who does not sit among the jeering cynics. Instead, the Lord’s teaching is all his desire, and he ponders that Torah by day and night. He will become like a tree planted on streams of water, yielding fruit in its season, with leaves that will not dry, and all that he produces will succeed. Not so the wicked – they are like chaff blown away by the wind. Therefore, they will not survive the judgment, nor shall sinners be acquitted in a court of the righteous. For the way of the righteous is known to the Lord, and that of the wicked shall come to an end.
Why do the nations clamor, why are the peoples speaking futilities? The kings of this earth have assembled; the leaders have bonded together, against the Lord and His anointed. “Let us cut their bonds,” they have said, “and cast from us their cords.” The One who presides in heaven shall laugh; the Lord will jeer at them. He will speak to them in His fury; He will fill them with terror in His rage: “I have anointed My king over Zion My holy mountain.” I shall tell the Lord’s ruling: He told me, “You are My son; this very day I gave you life. Ask anything of Me, I shall give you nations for your inheritance, I shall give you your estate to the ends of the earth. You will shatter [those enemies] with an iron rod, you will break them into pieces like pottery.” And now, kings, be wiser, take counsel, judges of the world. Serve the Lord with awe, and tremble as you rejoice. Adore God with a pure heart, lest He grow furious, and your way be lost forever. For His fury flares up in a moment; and happy are those who seek refuge in Him.
A psalm of David, when he fled his son Avshalom. Lord, how many are my enemies – so many rise up against me! So many say of me, “He has no salvation with God” – Selah! But You, Lord, are the shield that protects me; my honor; the One who raises my head. My voice, it cries out to the Lord, and He answers from His holy mountain – Selah! I will lie down to sleep; I shall wake again, for the Lord sustains me always. I have no fear of the myriads of men encamped all around me. Rise up, Lord; save me, my God! You have struck all my enemies on the cheek, You have broken the teeth of the wicked. Salvation belongs to the Lord; Your blessing is over Your people – Selah!
For the conductor of music. A psalm of David. When I cry out, answer me, my righteous God; in my straits You have broadened out my spaces – show me grace, and listen to my prayer. All you people, how long will my honor be disgraced, how long will you love emptiness, will you seek after illusions? Selah! Know that the Lord singles out those who are faithful to Him; when I cry out to the Lord, He will hear. Tremble and do not sin. Contemplate as you lie awake, and stay silent – Selah! Offer righteous offerings, and place Your trust in the Lord. So many say, “Who will show me goodness?” Make the light of Your face shine upon us, Lord. You have placed joy in my heart, more than others have from all their abundance of grain and grape-juice at harvest time. In peace I shall lie down and shall sleep, for You, Lord, allow me to abide alone in safety.
